Texaco CrossIsland Relay 2002
The 2002 Texaco Cross Island Relay willbe held Sunday, 3 February, of next year with its usual 6:00 amstart from Gun Bay, East End.
The runners, six per team, will each cover four miles.
The individual legs will be -
1) Gun Bay to the Blow Holes
2) Blow Holes to Frank Sound Junction
3) Frank Sound to the old Drive-In Theatre, Bodden Town
4) Bodden Town to Savannah Meadows
5) Savannah Meadows to By the Sea Condos, South Sound
6) By the Sea Condos to the Truman Bodden Sports Complex
Now in its 28th year, the Texaco Cross IslandRelay is the longest running continually held race on the island,and is known as one of the year's most popular events. Once again,it will be sponsored by Texaco and organized by the Hash HouseHarriers.
The Hash would like to encourage all sportsclubs and runners to come out and support this event.
Entry Forms are available at all Texacogas stations, Hash Members and from Ann Elliot at the George HicksHigh School, with an entry fee of $60 per team.
