Commendations to Mr. ClineGlidden
The following letter from a recent visitor to the islandwas sent to the Minister of Tourism, the Hon. McKeeva Bush, andis reproduced here as a matter of general interest.
Dear Sir:
My wife and I, along with Mr. And Mrs. GeorgeFallat of Wilmington, Delaware, USA, recently spent a week inGrand Cayman, staying at the Turtle Nest Inn.
Our week on your island was a delightful experience in every respect. There is one part of that experience I would like to share withyou because it is indeed outstanding in our memories.
We took the walking tour of George Town and about the fifth locationvisited was your recently-constructed building. I believe it wasnamed the Assembly Building. We entered through an arbor, expectingto explore the building on our own when your attendant politelyasked us to wait.
About one minute later, we were greeted by Mr. Cline Glidden ofyour staff. That was the beginning of a most enjoyable 30 to 45minutes, very professional exchange of questions, answers andanecdotal stories about all aspects of the Caymans, includingthe government, society, politics, and geography.
We hope you appreciate Mr. Glidden and the exemplary work he isdoing in representing your country. Please pass along our complimentsto him.
Charles J Clauss.
