The Friends of the Cayman Islands in SouthFlorida hosted a special reception and dinner for Minister ofTourism, the Hon. McKeeva Bush and Mrs. McKeeva Bush on Saturdayevening, January 27, 2001 at Monty's in the Grove.
Minister Bush was presented with a proclamation and a Key to Miami-Dadecounty by a representative of Commissioner Dr. Barbara Carey-Shuler.Tomas Regalado, a member of the Miami City Commission presenteda proclamation from the City of Miami and Mary Scott Russell,a member of the South Miami Commission presented a Key to theCity of South Miami.
A common theme of the presentations included gratitude for MinisterBush's involvement and support of communities in South Florida.All of the speakers noted the strong relationships and commonalitiesshared by South Floridians and Cayman Islanders and the need tocontinue developing joint economic and tourism ventures.
