Cydonie and Kareem garner topresults in overseas meet

According to reports received, Cayman's2000 Olympics track and field athletes, have enjoyed success intheir first meets of the 2001 indoor season.
At Clemson last Friday, Cydonie Mothersill led all qualifiersin the women's 55 metre dash preliminaries at the Tiger Classic.Cydonie's clocking at seven seconds flat was a clear-gap-achieverover performers in all heats. Though finals were held on Saturday,further details were not available at press time.
Kareem Streete-Thompson placed second with a 26'1. 3/4" behindlast year's Olympic gold medallist and world leader, Ivan Pedrosoof Cuba, who leaped 26'9.5" for the victory in Stuttgart,Germany.
Kareem's projected schedule includes competition in Paris on Wednesdayand in Vienna next Tuesday.
