Letter to the Editor

Ezzard Miller expresses thanks

Dear Sir,

Please allow me space in your newspaperto express my gratitude, appreciation, and sincere thanks to allthose who supported me in the most recent elections.

I have given the most productive years ofmy life in service to the people of these beloved islands, sixyears in the Civil Service, and 20 years in the political arena.I am grateful for the opportunities afforded me by the peopleof North Side and the Cayman Islands in general.

There have been some trying times, but Ihave also had many wonderful and cherished moments. The four yearsspent in the Executive Council, the highest office in the land, were hard work and a great learning curve that no university orcollege could have afforded me. Through it all, I struggled tomaintain my humility, sense of purpose, always gave one hundredper cent and most of all, retained my cherished integrity.

I would like to announce my retirement frompublic and political life, in order to pursue some private mattersthat have been on hold for 26 years.

To all my family, friends, and supporters, words can hardly express my thanks and gratitude for all yourhard work, understanding and loyalty.

I hope and pray for God's continued blessingsfor these Cayman Islands and its people.

D Ezzard Miller
