Recently, Cable & Wireless employees,Ms. Cathy Anderson and Mr. Craig Merren, joined ten other Cable& Wireless staff from around the region for the company'sannual 'Have You Heard' awards presentation, held in Antigua.

Mr. Merren, a well-known local cyclist andCable & Wireless technician, was selected as one of only threeCable & Wireless employees to be presented with a specialaward. And while male staff largely made up the group, Ms. Anderson,a Mobile Department supervisor, was one of three women makingthe final list of nominees.

Cable & Wireless Corporate CommunicationsManager, Ms. Donna Bush, who travelled with the finalists, saidthe event was very well organized and enjoyed by everyone. Sheadded that, hopefully, we will, in the future, be able to holdsuch an event here, bringing our colleagues from around the regiontogether.

The 'Have You Heard' awards allows all Cable& Wireless staff in each regional country the opportunityto tell stories of how they went beyond the call of duty to makeour number-one priority ( our customers) happy.

General Manager, Mr. Tim Adam, expressedhis thoughts by saying this shows the exceptional work that isdone by our staff, and having more than one staff member selectedto represent us certainly proves this.

The 12 finalists represented many CaribbeanIslands including St. Lucia, Barbados, Anguilla, and Grenada.The winner, Mr. Elery James, an Internet & Data staff member,represented the Turks & Caicos Islands where next year's 'HaveYou Heard' awards ceremony will be held.
