OBM International Limited is a sponsor ofthis year's UCLA Extension fifth annual Latin American & CaribbeanHotel & Tourism Investment Forum, which is to be held in LosAngeles, California from January 15-17 2001.
The who's who of professionals involved in the hotel investmentindustry in the Caribbean region will address several key issues,including the economy, timeshare trends, e-business and developmentstrategies.
This year's events feature more topics, more experts, and morenetworking time. OBM staff will appear in several different presentations.
President, Bill Bissell will head a round-table discussion onthe "Mitigation of Hurricane Damage through Intelligent Design,"focusing on 'the broader issues of building location siting andbuilding fabric rather than detailed engineering issues.
In addition, Managing Director of OBM Limited's Tortola office,Mr. Tim Peck will sit on the panel for a session entitled "SuccessfulDevelopment Strategies -What Works, What Doesn't and Why?"
The forum has grown substantially since its inception five yearsago, proving the importance of such a conference to the investmentcommunity.
"The UCLA Conference has now become one of the three internationalforums to attend regarding resort investment in Latin Americaand the Caribbean. OBM must therefore be involved," Mr. Bissellsaid.
