"I would just like to say that Mrs. Merta Day [Manager ofthe Cricket team] and Coach Cuffy [National Cricket Coach] arelike my backbone. They really have helped me with my grades. Sportsis really what has helped me keep up with my school work and ifthe coaches see that I am slacking off, they get on me to buckledown on the books," said Jalon Linton.

Theo Cuffy, the national cricket coach, had this to say aboutJalon's cricket exploits: "He participates extremely well.He is the first one to offer his help even if it is somethingoutside of cricket. He is a polite young man.

"He has a bright future in sports. He is good at footballerand cricketer. And while he is an average student, he does notgive up; instead he keeps his head in the right place," headded.
