Cayman Tourism Alliance AGMfor 31 January
The Cayman Tourism Alliance (CTA) will holdits Annual General Meeting (AGM) and general elections on Wednesday,31st January 2001 at 3.00 p.m. at the Marriott Resort.
Items on the agenda include a summary ofCTA's key achievements during the Year 2000; the Year 2000 financialreport; nominations and general elections for the Board of Directors;as well as a discussion of the CTA's key objectives for the year2001.
The AGM will be followed by a networkingfunction.
Whilst the CTA is committed to a successfulunification with the Cayman Islands Hotel and Condominium Association,expected by the end of March 2001, the AGM is being held to maintainthe CTA's legal status and enable the Alliance to continue itswork for the tourism industry.
The CTA invites all members and non-membersto attend the AGM.
The Cayman Tourism Alliance was formed about18 months ago through the successful merger of the Cayman IslandsWatersports Operators Association, the Cayman Islands RestaurantAssociation, a majority of the Cayman Islands hotels and condominiums,tourism transport providers and allied tourism service providers.
The CTA represents over 140 active and alliedmembers and is active in the areas of industry advocacy, marketingand events, industry development and membership services.
