This speedster likes running so much thathe came off his sick bed to compete and was first to breast thetape in the final leg of the three-part Compass Fun Run, Saturday,22 January.

In this feat our Sport Personality of theWeek, Tony Keely, clocked the fastest time for this event whichwas run over three Saturdays.

The, Ireland born Tony did not suffer asimple passing illness like flu. His nervous system was affectedowing to a spider bite which kept him out of the earlier legsof the race.

Tony has been running in Cayman since 1996.He has won the Bank of Butterfield 5k for the past seven yearsand has been first at other races.

The one to elude him is the Valentine'sMile.

It will again escape him this year as heis off to the Myrtle Beach marathon in South Carolina as a warm-upfor the Boston marathon in April.

"One of my aims is to put Cayman onthe map. Whenever I race overseas I always wear a Cayman shirt,"says Tony, who finished 112th in a field of 38,000 at the Chicagomarathon last year.
