Following in her big-sister Beyonce's footsteps 16-year old Solange Knowles may simply be pulling a Serena versus Venus move.
Or maybe she's just establishing her own identity.
Solange has toured with Destiny's Child as a dancer in the past on the suggestion of her Dad and Manager Matthew Knowles, head of Music World Music.
Her Dad's encouragement was what helped pave the road for Solange, giving her the opportunity to experience first hand what the music industry is all about.
Additionally, this is one tough young woman, who challenged her first record label Colombia when they were planning to drop her after a dispute regarding the Solange's selection for the debut single.
But Miss Knowles's stood her ground. Solange's persistence paid off and she is sporting her first album titled "Solo Star" with the first single 'Feelin' You' steadily climbing the charts.
Solange will also be hitting the road with another Destiny Child member Kelly Rowland in February.
