Sports Person of the Week

John Kelly
The youngest player on the National Team of the Cayman Islands Football Association, John Kelly (16), is mature beyond his years and always prepared to encourage young players.
Not at all a selfish young man, he passes time in his district helping his peers work on skills and technique.
John began playing football 10 years ago when he was just six-years-old. His golden talent was recognized early and he became one of the youngest players to be drafted to the National Team when he was just 13.
Currently he plays for Future FC and says that he would eventually like to play football at a professional level.
John has international experience in the U17 World Cup Qualifiers, Gold Cup Qualifiers, Milo U17 Tournament Bahamas and International Friendly matches with Cuba, Honduras, and Jamaica.
To him discipline is the most important thing on and off the field, an attitude that can only work wonders for him as he goes further in the sport.
