Lysha Wong, 16-years old, is another contestantvying for the title of the Miss Teen Cayman. She attends CaymanIslands Community College and in her spare time enjoys reading,writing poetry or short stories, going to the gym as often aspossible and spending time with family at home or with friends.

Lisa hopes to further her studies by attendingCayman Islands Law School, where she plans to obtain a degreein Corporate Law. After which this contestant plans to attenduniversity abroad and work towards a bachelor's degree in psychology.

Lysha decided to participate in the pageantbecause she was certain it would provide her some level of self-growth.

"It is a great way to test your truecharacter and to really search within yourself to bring out thebest," she says.

She admits that the experience leading upto the pageant has so far been very rewarding and extremely exciting.Lysha believes that all the contestants, including her self, arelearning a great deal not only about each other but also aboutthemselves. While there is quite a bit of hard work in-volved,the outcome will definitely be worth it, she says.

"I can't say I do not get nervous whenI think about the night of the pageant but I can say that I dohave a great deal of support from my family and friends. I thinkthat I will not accept anything but the best from myself and putthose words into action whether it is at rehearsals or correctingmyself at home," is the way she describes her feelings andapproach to the pageant.

"By the end of the pageant, I expectand know that I will be a better person. I will have a bettergrasp of the fact that 'anything worth having is worth workinghard for."

She shares her grandmother's advice as aguide to fellow teens: "Always stand for something, if notyou will fall for anything".
