Series on pesticidescreate attention

Dear Sir

Thank you for your extensive report on theMRCU spraying. It answers a lot of questions but raises even more. For example, I would be interested to read in an upcoming partof your series about

- the shortest possible time (i.e. if thereis no significant wind) for the spray to "touch ground"after the plane swept over your head. This would be interestingfor residents who want to move their family, pets and dinner insidetheir houses and close the windows after the "attack".

- whether pleated (compared to regular)AC filters are able to keep the pesticide particles out of yourhouse.

- whether charcoal filters used in carsare able to keep the spray out of your vehicle.

- how long the spray can be in the air (underthe worst conditions). This would be the time during which theAC should be shut off in case the filters don't work.

- the half-life period of the chemicals. This would answer after what time you can safely touch objectsagain which have been exposed to the spraying.

- the availability of suitable respiratoryprotection devices.

In the above context, it would be appropriatefor the MRCU to announce their spraying schedule through localmedia and their web site.

I hope for your ongoing coverage on thiscritical issue.
