Paul Bylesappointed Director at Deloitte & Touche
Local professional servicesfirm Deloitte & Touche has announced that Mr. Paul Byles willbe joining the firm at the beginning August as a Director in theFinancial Advisory Services department, with primary responsibilityfor Regulatory Consulting.
Mr. Byles is the formerHead of Policy and Research at the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority,where he was responsible for developing regulatory policies andguidelines for the banking & trust, insurance, investmentand fiduciary services sectors as well as provision of internaltraining to the regulatory staff of the Authority.
During this period he wasalso instrumental in the drafting of the Cayman Islands GuidanceNotes on the Prevention and Detection of Money Laundering. Mr.Byles holds an MSc from the London School of Economics (LSE) andis currently at the University of Surrey, England completing hisPhD in Economics.
He is a Member of the RoyalEconomic Society, the Offshore Institute, the Guidance Notes Committeeand he is the Chairman of the Cayman Islands Anti Money LaunderingGroup.
