Canadian says that the CaymanIslands has the dollar advantage
Dear Sir,
I chuckled to myself when I read your article"CI$ Devaluation An Option". I have had the pleasureof being a tourist on your island on five separate occasions whilevisiting my daughter, Angela. I buy my CI$ in CDN and 1 KYD =1.87 CDN. Your statement that "the tourists feel they arebeing "ripped off" of their US dollar which gets only80 cents in exchange" made for good conversation at the dinnertable. They sure don't feel ripped off when they come to Canadaand their dollar is worth 1.53 against our Canadian dollar.
A solution for the Americans would be totake one vacation in Canada and one in Cayman and then their dollarwould balance out. Actually they would be ahead of the $ game.
