Tee-Off for Tourism and Tasteof Cayman
Golfers of varying expertise will tee offat the Links Golf Course on Sunday, June 30, 2002 in the annualTaste of Cayman Golf Classic.
Organised by the Cayman Islands TourismAssociation (CITA), the four-man scramble with a shot-gun startat two tee-off times promises a challenging yet entertaining day,and offers players the chance to win a multitude of prizes.
Players compete to win several large cashprizes for multiple hole-in-ones sponsored by Cayman NationalCorporation and Bank of Butterfield, a gold coin for "closestto the pin" sponsored by Island Companies, longest and shortestdrive, most straightest drive and many other disciplines.
The most sought after spot prizes are twotrips for four sponsored by Cayman Airways, including accommodationand golf in renowned international golf resorts. Numerous otherspot prizes will be drawn at the conclusion of the all day event.
Players do not need to fret if their swingis not up to par because even if they are not, they can have loadsof fun and walk away with some great prizes at this tournament.
Tee-off times are 8:00AM and 1:30PM andthe event is followed by a hot BBQ sponsored and prepared by CaymanImports, who is promising to provide the best golf tournamentBBQ ever with the best 14oz steaks and lots of side dishes.
Entry fee is CI$125 per person and includesgreen and cart fees, chances for the holes in one, one mulligan,complimentary drinks, the full BBQ as well as a chance to winsome of the numerous prizes.
