Twice the cost is just toomuch
Dear Sir:
Just thought I'd comment on the story todevalue the Cayman dollar
My family and I were fortunate to spenttwo weeks this past December in the Caymans for our vacation.
We found the Caymans to be a great vacationspot.
My daughter even had the opportunity ofinterviewing your city's library manager for a school project.
We also found however, that the value ofthe Cayman Island dollar had a stranglehold on our budget becausewe are Canadian. I know that looking at something on the shelfin the Caymans that said $1.00 would cost me $2.00.
That hurts.
We have stopped visiting the United Statesfor that very reason, and our visit to the Caymans was a oncein a lifetime experience, one that my family and I will alwayscherish and remember.
We have found that the low Canadian dollarmakes it more economically beneficial for us to visit Mexico fora winter vacation.
The value of the Peso gives my family andI a chance to at least get out to dinner now and again.
You have a beautiful island, and I am extremely envious of notbeing able to visit more often or relocate down there, howeverlife does go on.
The more adventurous Americans visit Canadato spend their U.S. dollars and get roughly 1.5 times their value.
Of course that is one may also have to travelby sled dog, sleep in igloos, and eat bear and moose meat!
Thanks very much for a great vacation, maybeI'll be back when I strike it rich.
