Paying for Someone Else's Folly
Dear Sir,
While on vacation in the beautiful GrandCayman my husband and I were involved in an auto accident on March31, 2001. A young man on a motorcycle rear-ended our rental caron the Queen's Highway in front of Morritt's Tortuga Club.
The police estimated that he was going around80 MPH. We were only going about 10 MPH as we had just turnedout of the drive of the resort.
We were all injured and taken to the hospitalin Georgetown by ambulance. While my husband and I only spenda few hours in the hospital I am sure the young man that hit uswas to be in for much longer. I understand this is a common occurrencein that area. Hopefully the police will soon be able to do whateverit takes to stop the speeding.
I must say how kind the people staying atMorritt's as well as Royal Reef were to us until the police arrived. Also we do appreciate the care and kindness of the police department, the ambulance attendants as well as the emergency room people.
Many thanks to all of you!!
Would you happen to be able to furnish thee-mail address of the hospital in George Town to me? I need tocontact them about our account--yes we had to pay for the serviceswe received for something that was not even our fault. We wouldappreciate any help you can give me.
Thank you,
Peggy Young
