Past Governmentnow passé
Dear Sir:
I am (and I know others are as well) sickand tired of seeing and hearing from the last members of government. These are the same people who for eight years squandered thiscountry's resources, fooled its people and tried to keep themignorant. Now the day has come when they no longer call the shots, and every time you look, they are on TV or in the paper criticisingthe current government. If they had put this energy and vigilanceinto their eight years of governance, this country would certainlynot be in the state that we find it in today!
The government of the day has acquired oneof the worst legacies that any parent could leave for a childand it is unfair at this time that they are condemned, especiallyby those same parents. In fact it is a pity that the previousgovernment does not have some higher authority to answer to, fortheir gross mismanagement of this country's affairs! Coincidentally,if the quality of their letter writing ability is anything togo by, then we can see why they did what they did.
As for criticizing the commissioning ofa Constitutional Review, this is something they should addresswith the UK, as it was ordered by the UK and not by this government.Still trying to fool the people!
In my humble opinion, as far as the lastgovernment is concerned it is "good riddance to bad rubbish",and if the new one can't learn from the perfect example of "Hownot to run a country", then God help us!
Yours for a better Cayman,
Osbourne Bodden
