Pig kissing contest for Fun Day

The Parent-TeacherFellowship (PTF) of the First Baptist Christian School (F.B.C.S.),will host its annual Fun Day on Saturday, 17 March in the school'sparking lot on Red Bay Road, opposite the Lions Centre. The eventwill begin at 1:00 p.m.

A "Kiss the Pig" contest willhighlight the day's activities. According to school personnel,students (and staff) have already been 'voting' for the candidateof their choice by placing money in the piggy banks that are ondisplay outside the school's office. The person with the mosthonour, will have the dubious honour of kissing a pig, suppliedby Mr. Willie of North Side. The show will also feature a cakewalk, face-painting, dunk tank, silent auction and grab bag.

The P.T.F. said proceeds from the fun daywill be used for ongoing projects to benefit the children andstaff at the school and the WEE Care Centre. Past fundraisers,it said, have resulted in money being used for special computerprogrammes, a playground for the WEE Care programme and a watercooler for the staff lounge.
