Kirk's five-a-day programme
To help promote the eating of fruits andvegetables, Kirk Supermarket, in partnership with the Dole FoodCompany will be providing supermarket tours for the children ofGrand Cayman, called the "5 a day" programme. Thesetours will include education on the importance of fruits and vegetablesas part of a healthy diet (at least five servings a day) throughhands-on activities in the produce department of Kirk's Supermarket.
These informational tours are being offeredto schools and daycares to help promote the eating of fruit andvegetables at an early age, to start healthy eating habits fora lifetime.
