Top Producers
Seven travel agencies were recognised for being the Top Producerof the Year, at Air Jamaica's third annual Travel Agents Awardsceremony, held last Monday (19 March) at the Links Restaurantalong the Seven-Mile Beach in West Bay.
Headed by Air Jamaica's Executive Vice-Presidentand Chief Operating Officer, Mr. John Lewis; Vice-President ofMarketing and Sales, Mr. Allen Chastenet and Director of Sales,George MeMercado, the event saw over 120 members from local travelagencies as well as persons from the community in attendace.
The seven agencies were awarded plaqueswith the Top Producer being Cayman Travel Services at ElizabethSquare; Cayman Tours & Travel and Cayman Travel Services atWalkers Road were second and third respectively.
Top award for highest growth went to InternationalTravel of Grand Cayman at Fort Street, with Cayman Travel Servicesat Walkers Road and International Travel of Grand Cayman at GrandPavillion Mall placing second and third. Most improved award wentto Adventure Travel.
Dignitaries from the Cayman Islands, includingMinister of Tourism, Environment and Transport, the Hon. Mr. McKeevaBush; President of the Hotel and Condominium Association, Mr.William Connolly; and Mr. & Mrs. Richard Arch of Air Agenciesalso attended the event.
