International ChallengeCup v Promises Excitement

International ChallengeCup promises to rock
The Cayman Motorsports Association'sInternational Challenge Cup V set for this Friday-Sunday, 23-25at the Lakeview Raceway (behind CUC) is a fan favourite.
Undeniably, it is the most exciting raceof the circuit with international drivers from Jamaica, the UnitedStates and Cayman, vying for cash prizes and bragging rights.
The Jamaicans veterans hwo will be racingare David Summerbell Jr. Peter Rae and Mike Grizzle. The US driversare Steve Centan and Gary Kenchall - both are champion ice racersin Minnesota. Frank Williams, Andy and John Bodden, Mark Henningsand Basil Hamaty are some of the top Cayman drivers who will gracethe track.
The mile-long dirt track with an expectedenthusiastic crowd of 3,500 in the grandstands, will get a chanceto see sparks flying, passing-actions so tight, so close makingfor a lot of bumping and banging.
But, what you should watch for in the racesis that most of the passing happens, when drivers are coming offTurns 1, going into 4 and coming off 7. A driver gets in the marbles,or drag race down the back straightaway. The guy on the bottomwill beat the one on top going into Turns 1 and 7.
In addition to the 20, 25 and 30 lap racesthere will be the kid's go-cart and motorcycles races, which promisesto be as exciting and entertaining to watch as their adult counterparts.
Texaco, Seaboard Marine, Gatorade, Scott'sMarine, Z99 FM and Motor & General will sponsor the race.
