Big Brothers BigSisters Club Gets Big Status

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Cayman Islands(BBBSCI) was recently awarded status as an official affiliateorganization to their international counterparts, Big BrothersBig Sisters International (BBSI).

The organization now has a higher levelof standards to meet and other services that must be offered,such as mentor training.

Based in Philadelphia, (BBBSI) helps topromote the development of Big Brother Big Sister-type mentoringprogrammes that are operated independently in various countriesthroughout the world. The organization also helps the independentclubs to build service capacity and create sustainability.

An excited Jennifer West, Administrator/CaseManager of BBBSCI said, "being an affiliate of BBBSI, wejoin a network of organizations around the world that are tryingto achieve the same goal, as well as, trying to make the futurebetter for our children by giving hope today.
