Department of Tourismpromotes book
The Cayman Islands Department of Tourismin the United Kingdom recently assisted in a John Grisham promotionto celebrate the launch of his latest book and his back catalogue,including The Firm.
Using the theme "10 years ago JohnGrisham took his readers to the Cayman Islands, now is your chanceto go", the office provided the publishing house (RandomHouse) with visuals from the Cayman Islands, copies and a holidayprize package for two.
During the month of February, the promotionran in bookstores across the U.K., featuring in-store poster displaysand point of sale material, as well as part of advertising inpublications such as Radio Times. The promotion also appearedon a dedicated Web page www.randomhouse.co.uk/grushamcompetition,which reported a whopping 2,000 entries during the promotion'sfirst four days.
The lucky winners will be announced after31 April, and will receive a seven-night Grand Cayman holidayfor two at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, including return flights fromLondon.
The Firm spent 47 weeks on the New YorkTimes bestseller list and set the pace for Grisham's title asthe "king of legal thriller." His latest release - and12th novel - The Painted House is a different pace featuring "nocourtrooms, no affidavits, and no business suits."
