Cayman Squad Offto Martinique

The Cayman National Senior Football teamleaves for Martinique to compete in the first qualifying aroundof the Copa Carib Cup on Saturday, 31 March.
The young Cayman team will face St. Vincent,Martinique and the British Virgin Islands on 4-8 April, and byall accounts, Cayman could not have drawn a harder group. Martiniquehas six players who have competed in the French League in first,second and third division. St. Vincent also will field eight playerswho have professional experience in Germany.
In preparation for the Copa Carib Cup, Caymanplayed Trinidad & Tobago, and Arnett Garden and accordingto the National Football Technical Director and Head Coach, MarcioMaximo, the team has played well in the last three games and iswell motivated for this competition.
"Nothing, in my view is impossible.I hope the team will qualify, as I know we will give 100 percenteffort. However, I don't know if that will be enough," warnedMaximo.
"Lee Ramoon, is a very good captain.He has a good attitude. He has never disappointed me," Maximosaid.
Ramoon said, "we have a very youngand talented team. However, we need to believe in ourselves andwhat we can do. If we achieve that I believe we can conquer mountains."
The Copa Carib Cup, formerly the ShellCup, features eight groups with four national teams in each group.The winning team will go through to the second round, which isto be hosted by Trinidad in May.
When the team comes back from the Copa CaribCup, Coach Maximo plans to add more youth players.
