AccidentalTree Removal at Ironshore
The National Trust for the Cayman Islandshas issued a release concerning what appears to be a misunderstandingthat resulted in trees being removed from its property, Wednesday20 March.
Following is the full text of the NationalTrust's release.
"Early Wednesday morning the Nationaltrust was informed that trees were being removed on their property.
"Staff members of the National Trustwent to the site to confirm the matter and found that trees wereremoved by the Public works Department.
"Apparently another landowner mistakenlyidentified Trust land as their property and thus issued the directiveto remove the trees.
"The Public Works Department has verballyapologized to the National trust for this infraction and the twoparties are working on amicable terms to resolve this matter."
