Cable and WirelessDonates Telecom Equipment to National Gallery

The National Gallery of the Cayman Islandshas moved to its new offices at Harbour Place on the waterfrontin George Town.

The move, says Director Leslie Bigleman,was made possible by a number of donations from various companies.

Cable & Wireless was among the companiesproviding donations. "We were pleased to donate the 307 NorstarKeysystem that the National Gallery selected," CorporateCommunications Manager Andrea Fa'amoe said. "Cable &Wireless gives to many worthy causes each year and was happy tobe involved in this auspicious venture by the National Gallery.We take this opportunity to wish them every success with the move."

Mrs. Bigleman said she wished to thankedall of the companies that made donations and pointed out thatthe names of companies that donated to the National Gallery arepermanently displayed on the outside the front window of the newgallery.

The Gallery opens Thursday, 21 March, withits grand opening event at 6 pm. On display will be work fromthe late Keith Haring of New York.

In May, the Gallery will have retrospectivesof Charles Long, a local painter whose father was the first governorof Cayman, Mrs. Bigleman said. Long's work will include paintingfrom the 60s to present.
