Northward Prison Chaplainsent 'on leave'
Sources have reported that the Prison Chaplain whotook up a permanent position five years ago - after serving asa volunteer for 11 years, prior to his appointment by Government'sCivil Service Association - is now relieved of his duties pendingan investigation in connection with alleged prison irregularities.

This matter - which it is understood to have reached the fourthfloor of the Government Administration building - comes on theheels of the appointment of a new Prison Director who will betaking up his post in another couple of weeks.

It is known that another senior Officer in the Prison Administrationwas also recently sent 'on leave' following the alleged intereferenceof a file in connection with a prisoner's parole. The prisonerin question is now back in prison, and the Officer is now backat work.

Since this report has come to hand, Cayman Net Newshas had confirmation of this development, by the Chaplain himself,who could not comment, as the allegations are still under investigation.

The Prison Chaplain is an ordained Minister since 1990 andis a licensed Social Counsellor.
