Full-time Police Officerfor Little Cayman Beat

ConstableNeil Williams recently took up his new posting of Police Officerfor Little Cayman.
The posting of an officer and the newly-constructed station hasnow given Little Cayman the facilities it needs to have an effectivepolicing policy for the island.

In the past, an officer from Cayman Brac visited the island ona regular basis but the Royal Cayman Islands Police felt thatLittle Cayman should be deserving of the highest possible standardsthat the service could offer.

An officer living and working in Little Cayman is a step towardsoffering an efficient Police Service to all residents of the CaymanIslands.

P.C. Williams is an experienced officer having served in Caymanfor four years in the Uniform and Traffic Department but previouslyserved in the Metropolitan Police in London, UK for eight years.
P.C. Williams stated "Policing a small island like LittleCayman with a relatively small resident population is unique. However, I believe that policing is basically the same whereveryou go.

"Little Cayman does need a special approach, because it hasnot been subjected to full-time law enforcement, and one has tobe patient until this addition has sunk in to the community. Iam pleased to have been chosen for this unique assignment"
