On Tuesday, May 30, Cayman residents eligible to vote in theNovember 2000 elections will have a chance to register and toreceive their voter registration cards at the Cable & Wirelessoffices at Safehaven.
Cable & Wireless is the first private sector company in theCayman Islands to join with the Elections Office and offer thisopportunity through their offices.
Mr. Wayne Seymour - Technical Director at the Elections Officewill be at Safehaven in Cable & Wireless Leeward 4, firstfloor offices on Tuesday, May 30 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to supplyregistration cards to previously registered voters, and to handout registration documentation to those who are not yet on thenew voter list.
Mr. Seymour said: "The process of getting the voter registrationcards, as well as to register to vote, will take about 5 minutes.By locating at Cable & Wireless offices we are hoping to makethe process more convenient for Cable & Wireless employees,and customers."
This registration opportunity is open to all Cable & Wirelessemployees, staff at other offices located in the Safehaven complexand to members of the public. A further registration opportunitywill be held on Wednesday, May 31 at the company's Shedden Roadcompound and will be open to Cable & Wireless employees only.
