Kareem and Cydonie
Cayman's track and field representativesCydonie Mothersill and Kareem Streete-Thompson are literally ontop of the world.
The latest International Amateur AthleticFederation listing of non-wind-assisted performances shows Cydonieat the lead in the women's 200 meters, while Kareem is tied forthe lead in the men's long jump.
Cydonie sped to a mark of 22.57 secondsat Orlando and Kareem reached 26' 10 3/4" in Martinique.
Cydonie is also ranked twelfth in the 100meters dash for Clemson University. She has also been creditedwith a wind-assisted mark of 11.31 seconds.
Her latest triumph took place last weekendwhen she gained victory in a time of 11.42 seconds at the JesseOwens Track Classic at Columbus, Ohio.
Kareem is scheduled to compete in the longjump on Saturday in Osaka, Japan.
