Gives Away A "Kiwani Bike"

The Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman's FundRaiser has been held in the month of October for the past 20 years,starting early on Saturday morning, at sunrise at the Blowholes.Approximately one hundred sturdy, ambitious riders followed theSouth shore of Grand Cayman for some 20 miles, to end at SmithCove.
Of course, always having lots of rewardingrefreshments, beautiful shade and scenery, a dip in the sea, goodfellowship and lots of spot prizes for all participants and friends,was the climax of the ride.
Recently, in a warm up to the October event,their Club held a spontaneous fund-raiser, after a member, whowishes to remain anonymous, donated a 20-speed mountain bike tothe organization.
Kiwanis quickly began selling tickets tofriends and colleagues, raising more than $1000, for the Club'seffort in their Children Priority One community service projects.This effort, in just a couple of short weeks, benefited one luckywinner, Patrick Williams who exclaimed: "It's my first bike!"
The community, all golfers, friends andsupporters are all invited to the club's next big endeavor.
The Kiwanis' Joe Patterson Memorial GolfTournament is scheduled for Friday 1 June, at The Links Golf Course.This very successful event has grown in popularity over the pastfew years to become a much-anticipated social and sport outingon the Kiwanis' Calendar.
The Club invites participants to sign upto play a round of golf, win fabulous door prizes and have a greatday at The Links, all for the benefit of the Islands' children.
