Over the years, the Leo Club of Grand Cayman has made numerouscontributions to the quality of life to the people of the CaymanIslands through projects and fund-raisers.

Many people have asked this question, 'whatdoes Leo mean'? Well, Leo is an acronym for Leadership, Experienceand Opportunity.

The Club's objectives are to provide theyouth world wide with an opportunity for development and contribution, individually and collectively, as responsible members of the Local,National and International Community; to stimulate among its membersacceptance of high ethical standards and to develop leadership;to provide experience through service to the community and topromote international understanding.

Rosandi also explained how they go aboutraising funds for their activities and different community programs.

She also mentioned how rewarding it is forher to be a part of such a club and the many opportunities thatcome along with it. Traveling is just one of them, for each quarterof the year, a meeting is held in different parts of the worldof which members, who are able to do so, can always attend.

Like everything else in the world today, the effort you put into something is equal or more satisfyingthan its rewards.

Therefore, to become a member it is importantthat you show interest, participation and commitment, which arethe vital ingredients of service. This is achieved through comingout to fund-raisers, projects, recreational activities, committeemeetings and general meetings on a regular basis.

Rosandi considers her club to be more downto earth than other organizations, trying not to be always politicallycorrect, being always organized and consistent.

To date the Club has 23 members, of which4 are overseas. The Leo Club is committed to doing annual, quarterlyand monthly projects such as painting the seawall, sponsoringand hosting quarterly birthday parties for elderly ladies andmaintaining the Public Beach on West Bay Road.
