Flying Upside-down

Dear Sir,

As an Englishman, it unnervesme when I see the Union Flag (British Flag aka Union Jack) flyingupside down. As history will note, the Union Flag upside downis a sign of distress and is a request to be rescued.

Are the many hotels andrestaurants flying the British flag upside down trying to bringsomething to our attention? Do they really feel that much distressthat they need to be rescued? Perhaps it is a hint to us to rescuethem by frequenting their establishments.

For those that need instructions, notice that there is a thick white band on the upper and lowerdiagonal closest to the flag pole and a thick white band on theupper and lower diagonal furthest from the flag pole.

For those who prefer a picture, look at the Union Flag in the Cayman Flag. It is bound to be flyingon the adjacent flag pole nearby!
