Former Beatle Paul McCartney will meet with Russian President
Vladimir Putin during his brief visit to Moscow for a concert
Saturday on Red Square, the Russian sponsors of the gig said.
"Paul McCartney's concert in Moscow is a major cultural and political event for Russia," the vice-president of Alfa Bank, Alexander Gafin, told Moscow Echo radio.
The British musician, whose past hits with the Beatles included "Back in the USSR", is to meet Putin, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov and other top government officials, Gafin said.
