Staff at the warehouse of Markson's Furniturein the Way-To-Go Building on Compass Drive received a scare whenan envelope with a powdery substance was discovered in an envelopeattached to a box in a container which part of a shipment, Wednesday12 November.
The two employees who saw the envelope andopened it outside the premises were advised to attend the hospitalas a precautionary measure.
Fire Service officers used their biohazardprotective suits and isolated and sealed the envelope before handingit over to police officers.
The sealed envelope was then transportedto the Cayman Islands Hospital to be examined at the Public HealthDepartment.
The powder and envelope will be tested foranthrax and bacteria but results were not expected until laterin the day.
