Chief JusticeRules in Health Practitioner Case
The Ministry of Health notes that on 19November the Chief Justice, in the case of Dr. Sanjib Mohantyversus the Health Practitioners Board (HPB), quashed the earlierdecision of the HPB refusing his registration as a urologist.
The Chief Justice, Mr Anthony Smellie hashanded the matter back to the HPB to re-consider Dr. Mohanty'sapplication in light of the law and findings of fact set out inthe Court's judgment.
The HPB will now reconsider Dr. Mohanty'sapplication in the light of that judgment and will come to a furtherdecision in accordance with it.
The Ministry of Health will issue a statementonce the HPB has re-considered the application and come to a decision.
