Minister ofEducation to address Chamber
on Restructuring of Employment Services

The Hon. Roy Bodden Minister for Education,Human Resources and Culture will be the guest speaker at the Chamberof Commerce luncheon on Wednesday, 28th November 2001 at the WharfRestaurant from 12-2 p.m.
Mr. Bodden will discuss Government's policyon the introduction of the new Employment Services in the CaymanIslands. He will also be detailing the Ministry's plans on theproposed operations of the new department and the various serviceswhich are to be offered, as well as new legislation that willbe introduced in the legislative assembly.
The Minister will highlight the restructuringof the former Human Resources Department (Labour Office) and theimportance of the public, private partnership and the necessityof complementary efforts and social dialogue to ensure the continuedprogress and improvement of the Caymanian society. He will alsobe available to answer questions following his presentation.
His Ministry's responsibilities includeoverseeing education, labour, training, pensions and the NationalMuseum, Archive, Gallery and Libraries. The Education Ministryalso directs the Schools' Inspectorate, Community College, andEducation Council, which awards and administers Government universityscholarship.
