Storytelling all overthe place
Stories, stories, and more stories are being told all over thecountry as yarn-spinners from abroad join their local counterpartsto tell tales to communities in the Cayman Islands InternationalStorytelling Festival, Gimistory, a promotion of the Cayman NationalCultural Foundation.
They were touring districts and Cayman Brac and telling talessince Friday, 23 November, and will stop talking after this comingFriday night, 30 November, when the show wraps up in the EastEnd.
Included in the line-upof storytellers for the first time is legendary Trinidadian folklorist,Paul Keenes Douglas, whose stories have been published widelyand have been an entertaining resource for young performers inchildren's festivals in Cayman and around the region.
Storytelling begins 7:30p.m. nightly and tonight, Tuesday 27 November, at Niva Scott'sYard, Stake Bay, Cayman Brac tellers will be Leeny Del Seamonds,Ken Crosbie, Alan Ebanks, Nasaria Suckhoo-Cholette, Sir ColvilleYoung, Sookie and Ezekiel, Alex Neptune and Donna Tull-Cox (drums).
Wednesday at Savannah, OldDaCosta Homestead: 'Children's Night' (Young tellers from theCNCF Young at Arts Company).
Thursday at West Bay PublicBeach: 'Aunt' Julia Hydes, Ken Crosbie, Leeny Del Seamonds, Sookieand Zekiel, Marzita Bodden, Quincy Brown, Ken Crosbie, NasariaSuckoo-Cholette, Jack Lynch, Sir Colville Young, Marzita Bodden,and Amina Blackwood-Meeks.
Friday at East End CommunityPark: Samantha Pierre, Louis McWilliams, Quincy Brown, Alan Ebanks,Herbie Martin, Nasaria Suckoo-Chollette, Amina Blackwood-Meeks,and Sir Colville Young.

Church Concert andDinner
The Savannah United Church will be having a Variety Concert andDinner Sale at the Church Friday, 30 November, at 6pm.
This fundraising effort is in aid of the Church Hall BuildingFund.
Tickets are $10.
ICCI Graduation
The International College of the Cayman Islands Graduation andBanquet 2001 takes place Saturday, 1 December, at the Garden Loggiarestaurant, Hyatt. Cocktails will be served from 6:30 pm.
Tickets are being sold by graduates or at the school at $45 each.
The graduation is Sunday at Church of God, Holiness, Selkirk Drive,Red Bay from 3:00 pm.
Christmas Tree Lighting
The Rotary Club of Grand Cayman welcomes you to the Annual ChristmasTree Lighting on 6 December in front of the Law Courts at 7:00pm.
There will be performances by the Cayman National Choir and Orchestra,Young at Arts Choir, John Gray High School, Havoline Steel Bandand others.
