He is Cayman Islands joint InternationalCricketer of the Year 2001 and is the first batsman to score 50,100 and 150 for the Cayman Islands at international level.

He is an exciting and prolific number Ito 4 batsman.

Steve scored 163 not out against Panamathis year has a 2001 aggregate of 345 runs, averaging 69.

He played for the junior and senior JamaicaNational teams. In the Northern Telecom Youth Tournament in 1987,he played against Brian Lara. In Melbourne Cricket Club he playedwith Jamaican national and West Indies cricketers like CourtneyWalsh, Michael Holding and the Samuels brothers.

He has been playing for Byrite Sports Clubhere for the last three years.

His love for and involvement in the gameare credited to his mother, who was Secretary/player of the JamaicanWomen Cricket Association. "She dragged me and my two brothersto her games on Sundays," He said. "That is where Istarted to play before graduating to play for my primary school.The discipline of the game helps me in everyday life."
