Teachers at John Gray High School were shown the appreciation of parents and students last Friday. A special reception was hosted by the Home-School Association (HSA) at the conclusion of Teacher Appreciation Week, which coincided with last week's National Education Week.
HSA President Norah Ebanks and committee members treated Principal Debra McLaughlin and each of the school's 80 teachers to gifts as well as to a cocktail buffet. "Teachers work with our children year-round in a profession which is not always financially rewarding, but which is priceless in the development in of our young people," said Ms. Ebanks.
