Sky's the Limit for this ChristianRose Ebanks, a senior cabin crew member with Cayman Airways-

Rose Ebanks, a seniorcabin crew member with Cayman Airways - the National Flag Carrier,says that "sky's the limit" when it comes to her dedicationto Christianity. Since her childhood, she felt the call to "walkwith God".

Well known among Cayman's Christian community, when not flyingsince the start of the year, she has been devoting a considerableamount of her ground time working in Christian endeavours includingstudying along with 42 others for a diploma course in practicaltheology, which concludes with a graduation ceremony on the 2ndof November.

The classes are being held at the Agape Family Worship Centreunder the tutelage of Mrs. Judy Williams and Rev. Glen Galtere.

 

Judy Williams

International Seminary is a non-profit,evangelical, interdenominational ministry specializing in 'onand off campus' theological and ministerial training and is designatedwith the Accrediting Commission International for schools, collegesand theological seminaries.

The purpose of the seminary is to provide basic training and continuingeducation opportunities for ministers, Bible teachers and Christianworkers. This task is achieved with a positive commitment to theBible as the final authority in all spiritual matters.

The basis of fellowship with other believers is the cross of Christ.International Seminary has 16,000 graduates from 63 differentfaith groups located in 75 countries.
The organization has enrolled students from virtually every majordenomination. Their campus is located in Plymouth, Florida withExtension Classes in forty countries. Our mission to 'Go ye thereforeand teach all nations' is well under way.

The 'Be Successful in Your Ministry' course that is presentlybeing offered locally provides practical training to perfect thesaints for the work of the ministry. Topics of study include BasicDoctrines, Life of Christ, Eschatology, Gifts of the Spirit andmuch more. The Cayman Extension Class of 2000 opened its doorsto local students on January 12, 2000.

The present class is comprised of forty-two students representingsix countries and fourteen denominations, all seeking a betterunderstanding of the Word of God. Classes are held each Wednesdayevening at the Agape Family Worship Centre from 6:00 p.m. until8:15 p.m.

The Administrator of the course is Mrs. Judy Williams a graduateof International Seminary and who is still pursuing further studieswith the Seminary.
There are two Lecturers, Rev Dr. Glenn Galtere and his wife Rev.Deborah Galtere. The Galteres have served Churches and MissionOrganizations in the United States of America, the Caribbean andin Africa. They have been Lecturers for The Full Gospel BibleInstitute, Rhema Bible College (Africa), Caribbean Christ forthe Nation's (Jamaica), and The International Seminary. They residein Miami.

Rev. Dr. Galtere serves as Pastor of the Peace United MethodistChurch in South Miami and has recently accepted the position toserve as Chairperson for the Miami District Board of Evangelismof the Methodist Church. His wife, Rev. Mrs. Deborah Galtere presentlyis in service to our Lord as Pastor of the Palm Springs UnitedMethodist Church in Hialeah, Florida.

Dr. Glenn Galtere, holds the degrees of Bachelor of Science, Bachelorof Divinity, Master of Divinity and a Doctorate in Biblical Theology.He has authored three books and has written and presented numerouspapers in the areas of theology and missions. He has a Diplomain Field Evangelism. He is a certified Marriage and Family Therapistwith the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists
Rev. Deborah Galtere holds degrees of Master of Theology, Bachelorof Theology (Honours), Diploma in Theology and a Diploma in FieldEvangelism. Her field of expertise is in the area of Missiology(the Science and Study of Missions). She has also served as Advisorand Regional Representative for Womanís Aglow in SouthAfrica.

She has presented papers in Mission and Missiology and has writtena text book 'Motivations, Methodologies and Dynamics of Cross-Cultural-Communicationin Mission'. Presently, she is co-authoring a book with her husbandRev. Dr. Glenn Galtere entitled, 'Our Journey'.

The International Seminary Extension Class - Cayman Islands, willbe hosting its first Graduation Exercise at the Agape Family WorshipCentre, on 2nd December 2000, at 5:00 p.m.

Among the special guests invited to attend the graduation ceremonyis Rev. Dr. Daniel J Tyler President of International Seminary,along with his wife Mrs. Tyler and Rev Jim Byers, the ExtensionClass Director and his wife, Mrs. Byers. Local dignataries willalso be participating in the Graduation exercise.
An information evening will take place at Agape Family WorshipCentre the first week of December at a date to be announced. Duringthat information evening students can enroll for the 2001 Class.
