Florence Goring-Nozza Delcaresfor George Town

Ms. Florence Goring has jumped into thepolitical arena. One of the guest speakers in past election campaigns,she has declared her candidacy for her home constituency of GeorgeTown.
Politics and Government are not new to Ms. Goring: she is thedaughter of the late Joseph Melville Goring, a member of Cayman'slegislature for over 20 years. He played an integral role in thedrafting and implementation of the original constitution of theCayman Islands.
She is also the granddaughter of the late Henry Goring, LLB, barrister,educator and vestryman who was Cayman's primary representativein negotiating with the UK Government to introduce secondary educationin the Cayman Islands.
Ms. Goring says she feels the time has come for Cayman to takea serious look at the present Constitution and to make the necessarychanges as it is obvious that Cayman has outgrown the presentConstitution. "If we take a rain check it is self explanatory,"she says.
Ms. Goring was born in the district of George Town, and attendedCayman Preparatory and High School. She also attended Sylvia GillCollege. She furthered her training and education in the USA andis currently pursuing a degree in Civil Law as a hobby, "asI am very fond of debating and proving a point and sticking toit", she says.
Ms. Goring has one son and they reside in George Town.
She says she is a very helpful individual in her community andis a promoter of "justice for all". She is known tobe a strong fighter and promoter for civil servants rights andcalls for parity in the civil service.
Ms. Goring says she has a natural love and nature for politicsat all levels for the protection and welfare of the Caymanianpeople and others who have come to these islands and mean well.She has a strong determination to uphold and defend those thatare in need and taken great advantage of.
Ms. Goring's greatest concerns are the youth of these Islands,who are leaving school without an education and not graduatingor even the receiving a high school diploma, and the elderly.She is determined to sort out these differences and inconsistenciesin order to create a more healthy, well rounded lifestyle.
She believes that there must be continuing education free of costup to the Masters level available to Caymanians and that thiswill help bridge the gap that is widening between the rich andthe poor.
Ms. Goring served as President of the Parent Teachers Associationat George Town Primary School in 1996. She says that during herterm much was accomplished as she worked closely with those involved.
She also has been recognized as an effective co-ordinator in afundraising campaign for RCIP Welfare Club and structuring ofthe RCIP Crime Prevention handbook in conjunction with crime preventionprogrammes against child abuse, and drug and alcohol abuse.
Ms. Goring has served as a civil servant for the past three yearsas a Departmental Supervisor.
She has also held posts as operations manager in the hotel industry.
She has also been involved in Vision 2000 Strategic Plan.
Ms. Goring is a christian believer and is an active member ofher local church where she is Vice President of the Women's Ministryand is also a member of the Youth On Fire council.
Ms. Goring was also a founder of the Youth Outreach programmein her local church.
Ms. Goring declares that we need men, not boys, women, not girlsin this election, as the time and season at hand is far too criticalto put the country at risk.
She further declares that Caymanians need a woman like herselfwho will stand up for righteousness and for the defense and protectionof Cayman's people and the preservation of its Christians andmoral beliefs in order to survive and maintain its freedom.
