GovernmentPerspectives Back On Channel 27
Government's televisionnews programme, Perspectives, is back on the air with a new logoand length.
Perspectives airs for 30 minutes from 7:00 to 7:30 pm on CITN,Channel 27 (cable channel 12), on Tuesday nights.
The show includes both long and short stories as well as regularsegments.
Perspectives' short stories offer GIS an opportunity to covera variety of areas. Currently youth violence, the hospital, the500th anniversary celebrations in 2003, a human rights workshopand the constitutional review are expected to be included in thepremiere show.
Perspectives has been assigned to GIS' two-man video unit, DuncanKilpatrick and Timothy Kelly. Once the footage has been shot,Duncan sits in the editor's chair and Timothy takes the presenter'srole.
Perspectives also has a series of segments that will feature specifickinds of government information. For these segments, the GIS staffhave already identified government services, new appointments,the Community Calendar and upcoming events. In future shows, 'Pavingthe Marl Road' will attempt to tackle rumours.
"We would like everyone to mark Tuesday at 7:00pm on theircalendars and join us for an upfront perspective on governmentnews," said Chief Information Officer Ms Pat Ebanks.
The programme will also be rebroadcast twice; later on the samenight at 10:45 pm on cable channel 9 and on the following Sundayon CITN at 11:00 am.
