Escaped Prisoner Barnes Recaptured
Jeffrey Barnes was arrested about 12.45pmyesterday, (Wednesday the 30th August) in Diaz Avenue in the RockHole area of George Town. He escaped together with Travis Ebankslast Sunday. Ebanks who was recaptured earlier on Tuesday morningfollowing a tip to the Police.
The arrest was made following a phone call to the RCIP in whichBarnes himself came on the line to inform Officers of his location.
Police Officers arrived in Diaz Avenue and found Barnes waitingin the yard of a house and was arrested without incident and takeninto custody.
Full details are not yet available but Police are thanking anelderly resident from that area who spoke with Barnes and persuadedhim to turn himself in.
