Common Law Principles of theAmerican Revolution
Dear Sir
In the Middle Ages a legal system calledCommon Law began to develop. This system was based on the twofundamental laws common to all major religious and philosophies.
These laws were:
1). Do all you have agreed to do, and
2). Do not encroach on other persons
or property.
Century after century Common Law evolved. Government officialstried to alter and abolish it, consequently many individuals escapedto America, beyond the reach of government. They hoped to liveunder Common Law only, without the benefit of legislative law.
The Common Law changed slowly and mostly consistent with the twofundamental laws. Americans found they were able to plan aheadin their work, investments and trade. This stable legal environmentproduced the free market system which was very productive andpoverty declined. America became the most prosperous land everknown.
Government officials became concerned over America's contemptfor authority and tried to levy taxes and regulations on them. This brought on the 1776 revolution and a split from England.A new nation founded on the principles of Common Law resulted.
It is commonly thought and expressed that the Americans were fightingthe British, but let's think about this concept a minute. At thispoint the Americans were still British subjects, so it followsthat Englishment were fighting their own government. They werefighting for "the rights of Englishment!" They wereencorcing the "Higher Law". The pliticians and bureaucratswere encroaching on the rights of others. The Americans believedin a Higher Law than any government law and did something aboutit; they revolted.
What is this Higher Law? The answer is: the Common Law handeddown from God, which most Colonists understood and obeyed faithfullyand at the same time they ignored the laws and taxes enacted bypoliticians.
By following the principles of a Higher Law, which we know asCommon Law, and which incidentally includes Human Rights, a higheradvanced, prosperous civilization developed. Can we take a lessonfrom this?

Modern Day Robin Hood
F.A.T.F. and O.E.C.D.
What do they really mean to me?
The first tells me that drug money
slips through the cracks,
The other tells me that we should be taxed.
Nottingham Forest, Cayman is not;
But is seems that some people don't
like what we got.
But lo and behold we shall have our day,
'Cause we got our friends in the L.A.
Did I just say friends? I stand corrected
And now wonder how some of
them got elected.
Oh yes! I remember now
They told me they would make my life
better some way some how
They said "Vote for me, I am your man
'Cause I and I alone have the Master Plan.
A plan that came to me like a vision
Just wait and see what we will achieve
as a nation."
Of course we gave you the benefit
of the doubt
But now next election we are going
to vote you out.
You passed fly by night legislation
you said we need-
Legislation you yourself didn't
bother to read!
Although you say the responsibility
of it you won't take.
Guess what! That is for me to
decide November 8th!
You now try to tell me that
prosperity is here
And the effects of your vision
is almost near,
While High Cost of Living personally
told me it went
And if you don't believe me ask his cousins - High Price and HighRent.
But instead you raise your own pay
thinking you deserve the best
And then unanimously voted against
conflict of interest!
Why didn't you pass the latter first?
Before you took money from the
People's purse?
All I asked was that you keep
the promise you made
And work on the foundation that
those before you laid.
There are times I wish politicians
would keep promises like they should.
By the way, where is the money
you promised for the Ironwood?
As for your manifesto that was heaven sent
Come November 8th you will know
our discontent.
All of you should be ashamed-
Treating hard working peoples' lives
like a game
While Robin Hood took from the rich
and gave to the poor
You rob the people's dreams from
the LA's floor!
Modern day Robin Hood I was
going to call you at first
Now I realize you are much much worse!
I looked on my calendar and see
that we have a date.
Don't forget your chocolate and
roses on November 8th.
