Cayman Airways Announces NewCargo Offerings

Cayman's National Flag CarrierCayman Airways, has announced the launch of a major increase inthe airline's cargo-handling services. Beginning October 1, theairline's cargo customers will have new choices in how they shiptheir cargo and will benefit from newly developed volume pricediscounts.

One choice that cargo customerswill have is the General Cargo service, which provides the shippingof non-urgent items at the best possible air cargo rates witha general delivery time of 2-3 days. Special commodity rates arealso available as part of this service.

A second option for cargo customers will be the "GuaranteedPriority" Cargo. This service is mainly designed for urgentshipping needs concerning large or small packages. For a smallpremium, space for your cargo can be reserved on the flight ofyour choice, subject to availability, guaranteeing that your cargoarrives at its ultimate destination in a timely fashion. Thisfast and reliable service must be booked in advance with the CaymanAirways cargo staff.

The third new cargo service provided by Cayman Airways will bethe new same-day delivery Jiffy service. For CI$25.00, an envelopeor package weighing up to five pounds can be shipped on the nextavailable flight anywhere Cayman Airways flies. Customers cansimply take their packages to the ticket counter and pay the shippingfee, and the Jiffy service will do the rest. Recipients will beable to pick up the packages, in most cases at the Cargo officein the city of destination on the same day the packages were sent.

In addition to these three new cargo options, Cayman Airways hastaken further steps to improve their cargo-delivery systems. CYB,the third plane in Cayman Airways' fleet, is now on-line and availableto carry cargo, thus increasing the airline's cargo capacity.The air carrier also now offers delivery for large crates uponrequest, and is able to arrange a one-time inclusive pick-up anddelivery charge on packages from North America.

Cayman Airways is working hard to bring further service and priceimprovements to their cargo customers.
