Pre-Budget Report Planned
A task force, chaired byChamber of Commerce's Treasurer Mr. Wayne Cowan, is preparinga Pre-Budget submission for review by the Council. It is the firsttime the Chamber will produce such a document. Once completed,the report will be presented to the Government and released tothe public.
"Pre-budget submissionsare produced by Chambers of Commerce in other countries as a wayof sharing the views of the private sector on national budgetarypolicy and trends," said Mr. Conor O'Dea, Chamber President."It is my hope that the Government will accept the reportin the spirit of assistance."
